About This Blog

Concussion Policy and the Law is an information resource at the intersection of sports concussions and the law (concussion litigation and policy). Concussion Policy and the Law’s mission is to provide timely news and analysis in the rapidly evolving space of head injuries in sports, affording litigants, parents, policymakers, coaches and administrators with vital need-to-know information.

Concussions and related head injuries are currently a major safety concern for athletes who have experienced CTE, or Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy. This progressive degenerative disease of the brain is often found in athletes (and others) with a history of repetitive brain trauma. This type of brain trauma has not only led to a record number of lawsuits, but has triggered a wave of newly developed baseline testing programs intended as proactive measures to prevent concussions not only at the college and pro levels, but in grades K-12 also.

This blog has been created by the legal industry’s leading sports law publisher – Hackney Publications. If you have an objectively written article or newsworthy item, please contact us.
