Mother Files Suit after Her Daughter Suffers Concussion

The mother of a 3-year-old girl has sued the operator of an amusement park ride after her daughter was thrown from a ride called the “Techno Jump” last spring and suffered a concussion.

Shanjea Pennygraph, the child’s mother, is asking Ray Cammack Shows, Inc., which operated the ride on behalf of the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo (HLSR), to pay for medical bills and mental anguish suffered by her daughter.

HLSR has since changed the rules for the ride and dozens of others, requiring children to have a companion that is 16 or older.

An eyewitness shot video of the accident, which is available at http://abclocal.go.com/ktrk/story?section=news/local&id=8891507
