As NBA Playoffs Resume, Concussion Issue Lurks

NBA star and Indiana Pacer Paul George has admitted he suffered a concussion Tuesday night in the NBA playoffs against the Miami Heat when Dwayne Wade kneed him in the head.

And kept right on playing.

The incident occurred in the 4th quarter:

George was never taken back to the locker room to check for a concussion. Instead, he reportedly played the rest of the way with blurred vision.

NBA policy mandates that he should have been removed from the game and tested:

Based on the NBA’s return-to-participation guidelines, it seems very unlikely George will return to the court for game 3 in Miami, nor should he.
