Most likely, a spectator, who was hit by a line drive while attending a baseball game at Coors Field, will not have a legal claim against the stadium or the Colorado Rockies.
Judith Reese, who was celebrating her 69th birthday at the field, was sitting along the third-base line when a line drive off the bat of Michael Cuddyer struck her in the head, causing the concussion.
Kara Jackson, a registered nurse who was sitting a few rows behind Reese, told the media that “the ball came too fast and nobody could respond. It was flat. It wasn’t a fly ball.”
Cuddyer added that he “saw the stands part ways and boom — saw it hit the head. … It’s tough. That’s the scary part of this.”
